Jack Culotta, Jr., introduces Talk Culotta, his new sports podcast based out of New Orleans and presented by BootKreweMedia.
The goal of the podcast is to bring the underdog mentality to light. We will “talk a lotta” fantasy football, sports betting, longshots, parlays, golf, and more…all while featuring special guests through the lens of a native of New Orleans, a city that continues to recover and restore following Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Zeta, and now Ida.
When Jack Culotta was nine years old, he had the Saints roster memorized. He would sit in front of the TV, listen to Jim Henderson and Hokie Gajan, flip through the pages of a Saints team program, and when ready, his Dad would quiz him on the position and jersey number of a random player. When Jack’s Dad passed away in 2013 and he delivered his father’s eulogy, he joked that, one day, he’d be the Voice of the Saints. This was right before college, and it was a reminder from above to chase his dream in the sports world. So, here’s a brief summary of his journey:
A Jesuit High School turned college golfer, Jack graduated from Spring Hill College (SHC) in 2017 with a B.A. in Communication Arts and a concentration in Journalism, specifically broadcast journalism. While in college, he completed internships with the New Orleans Saints, WDSU New Orleans, WKRG in Mobile, Ala., and Wells Fargo Advisors Marketing. For Jack’s senior seminar project, he created a sports show called “Jack of All Trades,” in order to give more attention to Spring Hill College (NCAA Div. II) athletes and Mobile, Alabama. Four days after graduating from SHC, Jack started his first job in the Communications/Development offices at Jesuit, his alma mater. Three years later, he became the Communications Manager at the Jesuit-founded Reconcile New Orleans, commonly known as Café Reconcile, where he helped raise money for the non-profit that trains and mentors young adults in the hospitality industry. Specifically, Jack featured the Interns through the Reconcile website, social media, and mass emails to donors.
While hosting his sports podcast, “Talk Culotta,” Jack now works as a freelance marketing manager for local restaurants, small businesses, and media outlets.
Fun Fact: Jack is the youngest of six children. He has 5 older sisters, two sets of identical twins. Jack and his oldest sister, Katie, call each other twins so they don’t feel left out.
