The Miz is ready for WrestleMania!

During WrestleMania week, I had the opportunity to have a brief chat with WWE superstar, Mike ‘the Miz’ Mizanin. During our two minute interview, we covered three topics: the New Orleans Saints, WrestleMania, and what it means to have fans back in the arena.

As soon as the Miz logged onto our video chat, he wasted little time reminding both the Who Dat nation and myself about our pending future post Drew Brees. He went on to say that the one thing holding Jameis Winston back from being an ‘elite quarterback’ are his known issues with turning over the football. Albeit he made some jokes about my team, it was fun to have the Miz poke fun at the hometown team in classic heel fashion.

The fued between celebrity/hip hop star Bad Bunny has been brewing for quite some time now. When asked about how he felt about his upcoming match with the hip hop megastar on night 1 of WrestleMania, Miz answered with an immediate “I’m ready to go.” He went on to explain that he began his extra preparations for WrestleMania back in January and that Bad Bunny was in for the beating of a lifetime.

The most important aspect of the WWE is without a doubt the fans and the energy they bring to the event. Without the roaring cheers & boo’s from the WWE universe, it doesn’t feel the same. The Miz was ecstatic when asked about how he felt about finally being able to wrestle in front of fans again for the first time in over a year. He went on to say that while WWE has done a phenomenal job with the ThunderDome and making it feel as authentic and real as possible, there’s nothing like the connection a performer has with a live audience.

WrestleMania 37 will be streamed live on the Peacock app starting tonight at 7pm!
