Dating In 2021
The dating scene was very scarce in 2020 due to an ongoing global crisis but it was not non-existent. Us single people made it happen the best way we could. We either found ourselves calling up old flings, utilizing social media and dating apps or seriously separating from dating all together. Now that we have made it to 2021 in one piece, your favorite teedy wants to give you some tools as we go into another dating season.
- Be open. Vulnerability is essential to dating. Allowing yourself to be open to the possibilities of satisfaction and happiness can make the process an enjoyable one, even if you and the courter don’t make it past the first date. Your willingness to embrace the unknown gives you the space to understand what is in front of you.
- Set your standards. Know what you need in order to have a healthy & happy courtship, in other words know what your likes and dislikes as well as your triggers and patterns that have led you down toxic roads. Understand these elements and STICK to them. Create the standard in which someone deserves your presence and live on that hill. Those who value you will respect your boundaries, live up to it and most likely surpass them.
- Be selective. As I mentioned, everyone does not deserve your time or presence; so be selective. It is your DUTY to protect your energy and goodies. Every courter does not deserve to be intimate with you, that is up to your discretion. Having exclusivity is what makes you more appealing/valuable, not just to others but more importantly to yourself.
- Have fun. Don’t be a stick in the mud, have FUN! Try stepping out of your comfort zone for a change and experience a new adventure; you may reveal something new about yourself that you never knew was there. Just do it!
- Allow yourself to feel. I know emotions can be overwhelming but in all honesty it is necessary. Acknowledge what you are feeling, sit in it then move accordingly. If you are not feeling the vibe, say that. If you find yourself liking the person more than you expected do not fight it! Share your emotions. The worst thing that can happen is rejection and to be frank saying or hearing no will only make you stronger.
Following these tips can help make dating a breeze. We’ve appointed a new President and VP so it’s time to embrace someone new or maybe you should revisit that old love into your life. We don’t know what’s in store for us, so seize every moment and spread love…or your legs; whatever makes you feel better!
Peace & Blessings
