Taco Review Episode 1: Barracuda

Boot Krewe Media is looking for the best Tacos in New Orleans. For Episode 1 of Taco Tuesday, we visit Barracuda located at 3984 Tchoupitoulas Street.

I truly enjoyed not only the food but the atmosphere at Barracuda. Driving down Tchoupitoulas Street you wouldn’t know that they have an AWESOME back porch area with shade, picnic tables and music.

As you walk up, you order at a little window on the side of the restaurant. The workers are very friendly and efficient as we waited about 5 minutes to get our food. We ordered the Pork Taco, Fried Fish Taco and Mushroom Taco with a side of Chips & Queso. I also had to get the Ranch Water as it was so refreshing on a perfect sunny day. It was so good, I called it Sweet Water in my video below.

I thought both the Fried Fish Taco and Mushroom tacos had great taste flavor as well. They had just enough kick to it to where it wasn’t spicy and making my eyes water. The Pork Taco though is on an entire different level. Absolutely DEVASTATING. The best taco they have on the menu hands down.

I also thought an underrated aspect of the taco was the actual taco shell itself. It was just soft enough to enjoy and also not to soft to where it breaks down as I was stuffing it into my mouth.

No doubt in my mind I will be going back very soon.
