Jabril Cox Has Had Multiple Meetings With The Saints

According to Doug Mouton of WWLTV, the Saints are showing tons of interest in LSU LB  Jabril Cox. Saints another LB, especially one who can cover as well as Demario Davis does in this scheme. With Kwon Alexander being injured and waived and Alex Anzalone following Aaron Glenn to Detroit that leaves glaring holes at the LB position. Now, the Saints have visited ang gone to other LB prospects pro days such as top LB prospect Zaven Collins. But I am skeptical they draft an LB in round 1. In an interview with Doug Mouton Cox said, “No they’re definitely really interested….I’ve been on multiple Zoom calls with them, they’ve said they’ll be down there for my pro day when I have it on April 26, so the interest is there with them”. Now, Saints usually do not draft LSU players which I always found odd. Last LSU player the Saints drafted was Will Clapp in 2018 and before that was Al Woods in 2010. Jabril Cox is slated to be a second round pick and I think the Saints should take him with pick 60. He would be a huge boost to the defense. Will the Saints take a chance on Cox? We shall find out soon.
