LaVar Ball.. “I TOLD YOU SO”

LaVar Ball has been drawing headlines in the media for quite some time. “All of my boys will be in the NBA”, since 2016, this quote has been glued in the minds of basketball fans around the nation. I was even sick of all the drama he was causing just by talking. But was he right, was he trying to warn us? Well, it sure does seem that way.

LaVar Ball was born on October 23, 1967 in Los Angeles, California. He attended Canoga Park High School, where he became a star quarterback. At West Los Angeles College, Ball’s focus shifted to basketball where he shined. Ball met his wife, Tina Slatinsky, at Cal State Los Angeles, and they married in 1997. They have three sons, Lonzo, LiAngelo, and LaMelo.

As of today, Ball can now tell the world “I told you so!” because all of his sons are now on an NBA roster. Lonzo is currently a point guard for the New Orleans Pelicans, LaMelo is a point guard for the Charlotte Hornets, and LiAngelo Ball has agreed to a non-guaranteed 1-year contract with the Detroit Pistons.

In 2016, LaVar founded an athletic apparel company called Big Baller Brand, or “BBB” for short. They snagged a Facebook deal -Ball in the Family- that has a whopping 6 seasons. Clothing lines, shoe deals and a bunch of other endorsements make you must admit he’s kind of a marking genius.

LaVar has made some bold and arrogant comments, one time he even claimed that he could have beaten Michael Jordan one-on-one in college. It’s okay to laugh I did. He said the lakers wouldn’t win a championship if they traded Lonzo Ball: ‘I guarantee… it will be the worst move the Lakers ever did in their life and they will never win another championship. Guarantee it.” we see how that turned out.

Even though LaVar is annoying. He is obnoxious. He is your typical narcissist who wants attention from the world 24 hours a day, seven days a week. I know it is difficult to give him any praise at all. He is just so relentlessly insufferable, but he did warn us, and he was right! Maybe we owe him an apology, He clearly has big and creative ideas.
