Anthony Davis Sucks
That’s All Folks! Remember that disaster? Let me refresh your memory to exactly what this clown did and said.
After requesting a trade and knowing this would be his final appearance in New Orleans, he wore a Looney Tunes shirt that stated: “That’s All Folks”. 5-year old’s watch Looney Tunes, and that is who Anthony Davis is, a child.
The next day, in his exit meeting with the media, Anthony Davis admitted that he does not dress himself. So, I am to believe that a 26-year-old, who at this point in his life has made over $150 Million dollars, does not dress himself? What a fucking loser.
Let me take you a little further back into the 2018-2019 season. On January 18th, the Pelicans lost to the Portland Trailblazers 128-112. That was the last game Anthony Davis played until it went public that he wanted to be traded. On January 28th, Jrue Holiday admitted that Anthony Davis told his teammates that he wanted to be traded. On February 8th, Anthony Davis played in front of 15,000 booing fans at the Smoothie King Center. In 24 minutes he dropped 34 points and fans would start cheering and then booing again when he would touch the basketball. It was so weird. From then until the rest of the season, the Front Office directed Alvin Gentry to only play Anthony Davis for 20 minutes a game. Instead of Anthony Davis just playing out the season, he decided to request a trade and put EVERYONE in the organization in a very tough spot. Demps didn’t want AD to play and have him get injured, which would hurt his trade value. Gentry had no clue what to do or how to play Anthony Davis. The fans kind of knew what to do and just Booed the piss out of him, but when he scored they would cheer. This is the exact quote Anthony Davis had, after he returned to the lineup on February 8th against the Timberwolves:
“That was definitely awkward. Boo? OK. It doesn’t matter to me. I’m going to go out there and play basketball. I was [surprised]. But hey, that’s life, man. Some people are not gonna like me. I’m just happy to be back on the floor playing the game that I love.”
I am raising my hand right now, I DON’T LIKE YOU.
Uh, you admitted you did not want to be here anymore. Did you expect us to applaud you for requesting a trade? When you break up with your girlfriend, do you expect the girl to applaud you, give you a hug and be like hey we had some great times! NO! She is going to tell you to fuck off and never talk to her again. This is just another example of how naïve and childish Anthony Davis is.
Let’s flash forward to the latest drama with Anthony Davis and New Orleans. Last night I saw a video posted from the Road Trippin Podcast. Anthony Davis’ “Best Friend” Lebron James, basically told us Anthony Davis did not give a fuck about the Pelicans organization, the city, the fans or his teammates. This is the direct quote from Lebron James:
“What I learned this year, I watched him a lot in New Orleans, where he would get these nagging injuries and he would be out games – multiple games.”
Richard Jefferson chimes in and goes:
“Probably because New Orleans wasn’t really fighting for anything” (not true)
Lebron:
“Right, right, so that made sense. And you saw he would get the shoulder, or he would get the ankle, or he would get the bump or whatever and he would sit out. This year, no matter what injury he had, his ass came back on the floor. He was dealing with a severe foot problem in the bubble and he played through it every single moment. He did not like the fact, that they were out there or my dog, who he called me, was out there and I’m not out there.”
Before I dive into this quote, I want to remind you of Anthony Davis’ injury list back in New Orleans. Davis missed a total of 108 games in a 6-year span down in New Orleans. This is not counting the numerous times he left a game due to a boo-boo. Yes, I used boo-boo because Anthony Davis is a child, remember he gets his clothes laid out for him like a 4-year-old, so that is how I am going to treat him.
Remember that time in the middle of the game his dad, I’m sorry, his agent Rich Paul made him leave because his shoulder was sore? If you don’t here is a screen shot of it.
AD did this act countless times in New Orleans. He would miss full games and then he would leave games due to jammed fingers, toes or sprained knees, shoulders and ankles. In Los Angeles he played through it all and only missed 2 games.
I would bet that he missed at least another 50 games due to injuries that happened during the game. I can only imagine how much the electric bill was after every time Anthony Davis used the X-Ray machine. Entergy probably wanted Anthony Davis to stay. I am surprised they didn’t offer him an endorsement deal, he was their best customer! So, with missing 108 games and another 50 incomplete games, let’s just round that out to 162 games that AD missed or did not complete. In reality, Anthony Davis played 4 seasons for New Orleans and made 150 million dollars. He went 4-8 in the playoffs, with 0 division titles. Let me repeat that again, ZERO DIVISION TITLES AND TWO PLAYOFF APPEARANCES AND MADE 150 MILLION DOLLARS. That is disgusting, its robbery is what it is. This is a live look of Anthony Davis robbing New Orleans and bolting.
The Hornets/Pelicans franchise invested $150,369,323 in Anthony Davis. As a season ticket holder and someone who has invested a ton of MY MONEY into this franchise, to hear bullshit like this, makes my blood boil. Let me be clear, I DON’T CARE THAT HE WANTED TO LEAVE. I CARE ABOUT THE WAY HE SOLD OUT THIS CITY, THIS FRANCHISE, THE FANS WHO PAY A TON OF HARD-EARNED DOLLARS TO WATCH HIM AND HIS TEAMMATES. Davis even promised the city that he would make an Instagram post thanking all of us for the support over the years. Get the fuck out of here, no one wants your thank you post on Instagram. All we wanted was for you to play out your damn contract like Chris Paul did, give it your all like Drew Brees does and go to wherever the hell you wanted to go. If you are from New Orleans or are a fan of this organization and this doesn’t piss you off, go support another franchise. Lebron LOVES to talk and as long as AD and Lebron are teammates, we will hear more and more about his time in New Orleans.
Now back to Lebron’s quote- Lebron agrees with Richard Jefferson saying that AD never really had anything to play for. So just because they aren’t the top 5 seed in the West, there is nothing to play for? You represent a city, an organization and the fans. THAT IS WHO YOU PLAY FOR! If it was not for the fans, this organization wouldn’t be able to pay you a sum that will not only set you up for the rest of your life, but your kids and your kids, kids’ lives as well. I don’t give a shit what the Pelicans record was at the time, if you are getting paid to do a job, I expect you to do it.
I wonder how this makes Jrue Holiday feel? What about Alvin Gentry or Del Demps? By Anthony Davis not giving it his all for this franchise, cost those 2 their jobs, their livelihoods. They got fired because they could not produce a winning team, because their star player was too much of a (you know what) to leave it all out there on the floor.
That quote from Lebron James says exactly who Anthony Davis is. He is a straight up PUNK. Enjoy your championships LA as you deserve them, but when the GOAT leaves and you are stuck with Anthony Davis, don’t expect much.
